Full-time, W-2 outdoor construction careers in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Anderson Outdoor Incorporated is a family-owned design-build company that has been building outdoors since 1980 and in Fredericksburg since 2006. We design, build, and take care of high-end homes, ranches, and commercial properties across the Texas Hill Country. That covers grading and dirt work, drainage, hardscape and masonry, steel fabrication and welding, irrigation, lighting, planting, and property maintenance.

We do it with our own crews and our own equipment, and we’re hiring people who want to learn a trade, do it right, and grow with a company that’s going places.

What you get

Positions we hire for

  • Landscape Construction Technician: Build our design-build projects. Hardscape, planting, drainage, and installs from the ground up.

  • Landscape Maintenance Technician: Keep our clients’ properties looking the way they did the day we finished them. Mowing, beds, pruning, seasonal color, and cleanups on a regular route.

  • Irrigation Technician: Install, service, and repair irrigation systems under AOI’s licensed irrigators. Trenching, valves, heads, drip, controllers, and troubleshooting.

  • Equipment Operator: Run the machines behind our grading, dirt work, and site prep.

  • CDL Driver: Haul equipment and bulk material between our yard, suppliers, and job sites, and help the crew between hauls.

  • Yard Technician: Run our equipment and material yard. Load crews out, receive deliveries, service equipment, and keep everything organized.

  • Company Mechanic: Keep our trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment running. Diagnosis, repair, preventive maintenance, and welding.

  • Welder / Fabricator: Build and repair the steel work on our projects and equipment.

  • Foreman / Superintendent: Lead crews in the field and keep projects on schedule and on standard.

  • Front Desk Coordinator: Be the first voice and face of AOI at our Main Street office. Phones, scheduling, invoice entry, and files.

  • Office Staff / Administration: Support the office and the owners with administration and records.

What It Takes

  • Work ethic: Show up on time, work hard, and take pride in doing it right the first time.

  • Physical Requirements (Field Positions): Able to lift 80+ lbs and put in long days outdoors, in Texas heat, cold, and everything in between, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Safety first: Follow every company and OSHA safety rule. PPE on, every job, every time.

  • Team player: Work as a team with foremen, operators, and crew.

  • Equipment skills: Experience on skid steers, excavators, trenchers, or compactors, or the drive to learn fast.

  • Flexibility: Early mornings and the occasional long day when we’re pushing to hit a deadline.
