Drainage Solutions in Fredericksburg, TX

Standing water, washouts, and soggy foundations, fixed at the source by one licensed team that does the dirt work, the drainage, and the landscape around it.

We find where the water comes from, where it collects, and where it can go, then build a system that moves it there for good. French drains, channel drains, catch basins, downspout tie-ins, dry creek beds, swales, culverts, grading, and sump pump systems, all installed by our own crew with our own equipment.

Serving Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Boerne, Johnson City, Comfort, Stonewall, Harper, Llano, Blanco, Marble Falls, Dripping Springs, Hye, Luckenbach, Willow City, and Junction.

How We Solve Drainage Problems

Most drainage problems in the Hill Country come down to three things: thin soil over rock, slopes that send water toward the house, and hard surfaces that shed water faster than the ground can take it. We start every project by walking the property, ideally after a rain, to see where water comes from, where it collects, and where it can safely go.

What We Install

- French drains: perforated pipe wrapped in filter fabric and bedded in clean rock to pull water out of saturated ground and carry it away.

- Catch basins and area drains: NDS catch basins and drain basins set at low spots and tied into solid pipe that runs to a safe outlet.

- Channel drains: NDS Spee-D channel drains across driveways, patios, and pool decks where sheet flow collects against hard surfaces.

- Downspout tie-ins: gutter downspouts piped underground and released through pop-up emitters well away from the foundation.

- Dry creek beds: rock-lined channels that carry storm water and look like they belong in the Hill Country.

- Swales and rip rap: shaped ground that steers runoff, armored with rock where the flow is fast enough to scour.

- Culverts: pipe under drives and ranch roads so water crosses without washing the road out.

- Grading and erosion control: correcting slope away from structures and stabilizing bare ground so it stays put.

Sump Pump Systems by Liberty Pumps

When water has nowhere to go by gravity, we pump it. We install Liberty Pumps sump systems: a pre-assembled simplex basin with a 1/2 HP pump, float switch, and check valve, set in filter fabric and clean rock, with the discharge piped out to daylight where it can drain freely. Line-voltage power to the pump is installed by a licensed electrician.

How a Drainage Project Works

- Site visit: we walk the property, find the source of the water, and look at where it can legally discharge.

- Plan: we lay out the drain path, outlets, and grades, and tell you plainly what is included.

- Install: our own crew and equipment handle the excavation, pipe, basins, rock, and backfill.

- Finish: disturbed areas are graded back and restored so the system disappears into the landscape.

When We Bring In a Licensed Professional

Some drainage work needs more than a contractor. If a project would send water onto a neighboring property, requires a permit or stamped plans, disturbs an acre or more, or sits in a floodplain, we coordinate with the right licensed professional before work starts.

Why Anderson Outdoor

We are a licensed general contractor (City of Fredericksburg License GC00486) with our own dirt work crew and machines, so the grading, the drainage, and the landscape on top of it are handled by one team. Water problems get solved once, not passed between subs.
